Compound V-91

Our company has developed a unique Сompound V-91. This compound is a thermo set composition, which does not contain solvents. It is used for impregnation of electrical windings operating at long-term temperature up to 155 °C by Vacuum Pressure Impregnation technology (VPI).

Сompound V-91 consists of two parts that must be mixed shortly before usage. The system of insulation made by the (VPI) technology with Resin Rich (RR) tapes is monolith. The system of insulation is a thermo resistant system with much higher physical, mechanical and dielectric properties.

Properties of the compound V-91:

Electrical strength in transformer oil at (15 – 35) °C at least	26 MV/m
Electrical volume resistively at M (15 – 35) °C 45 – 75 %	at least 1 · 10¹⁴Ohm · cm
Dielectric loss tangent at 50Hz (15 – 35) °C 45 – 75 %	not more than 0, 006, at 0,03 (130 °C)
Static flexural breaking stress at M (15 – 35) °C 45 – 75 %	not more than 650 MPa

Over 100 tones of the Сompound V-91 has been sold to the European locomotive-manufacturing plants. Neither one from our numerous customers has ever complained about any defects of V-91, or about the system of insulation on the basis of V-91.
